new peeve: restaurant menu bragging about "homebaked toast"
At first, the gullible and emotional flavor-center on the right side of my brain lit up, thinking this meant homemade bread.

But then the logical, clinical left side of my brain processed the actual information contained in the words and coolly announced to the flavor-center (in a monotone robot voice) that homebaked merely means that the bread was toasted on the premises rather than being sent out to another establishment for toasting. Which would be ridiculous.

So that's sneaky.
